DOWNTOWN APARTMENTS
This isn’t your typical Downtown area—while the usual skyscrapers and office buildings keep the skyline lit up at night, the real action is underneath in the city’s massive tunnel system (of course Houstonians would come up with a way to never leave the A/C!) During the day the tunnels are bustling with activity as Houston’s movers and shakers hit up their go-to coffee shops, restaurants, and even dry cleaning without ever breaking a sweat.
In recent years, Houston has made a push to revitalize their downtown district to not only encourage better options for Downtown apartments and lofts, but also more after-work activities that keep people staying in the city past the five o’clock bell. The Houston Pavillions has quickly become a popular spot with two levels of shops and restaurants, and of course the popular Lucky Strike bowling (nothing goes better than a vodka martini and a 10 pound ball). Discovery Green is Houston’s man made park that features a weekly farmer’s market, unique artwork and sculptures and is also walking distance to several great Downtown apartments.
