Upper Kirby:

Ahh…living perfected…. Clients call us all the time and ask “isn’t there a place in Houston where you can just walk to restaurants and coffee?” There is….it’s called Upper Kirby. A small pocket of heaven with all of the essentials in life (Whole Foods, coffee, wine bars, and restaurants…what more do you need?)  Enjoy a glass (or bottle, we’re not judging) of wine at the Tasting Room while listening to live music. Grab a coffee and a book and sit on the patio at Border’s. Get your shop on at Tootsie’s (you can never have enough shoes). Enjoy Houston’s best cinnamon roll at Stonemill Bakers. Peruse the samples at Whole Foods (you know what a strawberry tastes like…but its free, so what the heck, right?)

Living in heaven comes with a price tag (the average price per square footage is higher than most of the surrounding areas) but the properties are gorgeous (think resort-style swimming pools, state-of-the art fitness centers, and even a clothing-optional sundeck to keep things interesting). And since Upper Kirby is centrally located to Downtown, Galleria, Heights and Rice Village, it has quickly become a Houston favorite.

Should you choose to move to the Upper Kirby area it is unlikely you will find yourself bored.  The hardest part will be choosing which loft, apartment, townhome, or condo to live in!

River Oaks:

Home to politicians, movie stars, and even sheiks…this is the "90210" of Houston. Sandwiched between Upper Kirby and the Memorial Heights area, River Oaks is one of Houston’s most prominent neighborhoods. With real estate pricing ranging from 1 million to 20 million (forget houses, these are mansions) this is widely considered one of the wealthiest zip codes in the country.

Aside from gorgeous estates and perfectly manicured lawns, River Oaks offers world class shopping and dining in popular Highland Village. Enjoy some amazing guacamole prepared tableside at Escalantes, put a modern twist on your new place at Bo Concept, or stock the kitchen with new gadgets at William Sonoma.  Venture slightly North to a Houston favorite at Ousie’s table, where gourmet food meets Southern hospitality.

Foodies come to worship at the church of Central Market off Westheimer. Get lost in the maze of custom-made sandwiches, freshly-baked bread, hand-rolled sushi, just-picked produce, and aisles and aisles of local, organic, delights (including a wine selection that would make a sommelier weep). …
